Artist's Description
This original work by Troy Caperton of 2006 captures the power of a finely toned body of a twenty-eight year old man who represents Herakles at the height of his physical prowess. Herakles was known as Hercules to the Romans and was worshiped by the both the Greeks and the Romans as Soter Mundi, Savior of the World, for his many deeds in ridding the world of hideous supernatural monsters throughout the Ancient World. The original painting is an oil on canvas that measures 16 by 20 inches and is mounted on wooden bars. It is in the possession of the artist.
